I will overwhelm 'serious boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-bout fight which will be streamed live on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the two fighters confronted each other to build hype for the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Ex twice world boxing king Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth disparity - at Miami venue on 19 December.

Fighter's Mindset

"I plan to damage his features and break his body up. My goal is to show my superiority," the British boxer, 35, said.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I'm going to really want to hurt him. That's what I want to do."

Civil Interaction

In spite of these statements, a calm Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically recognized for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul rather criticized former Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "a joke" after the Cameroonian turned down a bout proposal.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, at the same time, criticized UK opponent Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua commented.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Fighter

Despite declaring he will damage his opponent, Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.

Jake Paul's History

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in last year.

Commercial Attraction

However, the novice is still one of the sport's biggest commercial attractions, regularly earning massive earnings.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28 year old forecast a stoppage in rounds four or five and stated he would derail the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently in the works for two years from now.

"It will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul declared.

Size Difference

As the two fighters engaged in the usual confrontation, with their height and weight contrast evident, it drove home just how surprising this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the match is actually proceeding.
